A lot of this blog will probably cover programming\/game development, but today I’m writing about a much more important topic: God and his love and desires for us.<\/p>\n
God created everything (Genesis 1-2<\/a>, John 1:3<\/a>), including us (individual human beings). \u00a0That in and of itself is amazing, especially when you think about the harmony that exists to make the universe actually work.<\/p>\n Unfortunately, we sinned (Genesis 3<\/a>, \u00a0Romans 3:23<\/a>). \u00a0The natural consequence of this sin is death (Romans 6:23<\/a>). \u00a0Despite this rebellion against God and his intended design for us, he has continued to pursue us throughout the history of the Israelites and into today.<\/p>\n In fact, God even\u00a0came to earth as the man Jesus Christ (John 1:14<\/a>). \u00a0Why did he come to earth? \u00a0To give us abundant\u00a0<\/em>life:<\/p>\n The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n – John 10:10 (KJV)<\/a><\/p>\n Why did he want to come to earth? \u00a0He loves us and doesn’t want us to die:<\/p>\n For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n – John 3:16 (KJV)<\/a><\/p>\n Christ died on the cross\u00a0even while we were still sinners (Romans 5:8<\/a>), giving us\u00a0forgiveness of sins (Matthew 26:28<\/a>). \u00a0His resurrection gives us birth into a new life (1 Peter 1:3<\/a>).<\/p>\n That does not mean that life will be easy, but it does mean that we can go through it with the<\/em> overcomer (John 16:33<\/a>) and experience eternity with him. \u00a0And it is good news that nothing can separate us from that (Romans 8:38-39<\/a>).<\/p>\n Isn’t it wonderful how we can have a relationship with the perfect and loving Creator? \u00a0God desires for you to have the best life possible, from now and into eternity. \u00a0If you do not know God through Jesus Christ, I encourage you to seek him, and feel free to contact me<\/a> for questions or discussion. \u00a0There is no condemnation in Christ Jesus (Romans 8:1<\/a>, John 8:11<\/a>), but he does call us to repent from our sins (Luke 5:32<\/a>).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" A lot of this blog will probably cover programming\/game development, but today I’m writing about a much more important topic: God and his love and desires for us.
